Welcome to the Ottawa River Canoe Club, a non-profit organization with a volunteer Board of Directors.  In its fourth year of operation, ORCC offers a variety of recreational and competitive paddling sport activities and programs for all age groups.

 

Programs for all ages–  from recreational canoe to the ever popular Dragonboat.

 Check out programs for children aged 8, teen and adults – something for everyone!

Staffed by experienced certified coaches, offers great boats and equipment

 Learn a lifelong sport from the experts and have fun in the process.

Membership Has Its Privileges!

 

Who can join?

Regardless of where your interest lies – recreational, water safety, flatwater racing, Masters program, adventure racing, outrigger or dragonboat, ORCC has programs for everyone – aged 8 through to adult.  The only requirement is that the paddler be a competent swimmer – Aquaquest 6 or higher.

 

What does your membership provide?

ORCC membership entitles you to the following in the 2007 season:

  • Unlimited use of club facilities and equipment during regular club hours and the entire season – from May through October.  This includes the use of the boats, paddles and lifejackets.
  • Participation in ORCC programs offered each week – see schedule for more details.
  • Participation in ORCC teams at regional festivals and regattas – guaranteed to be lots of fun!  These regattas and festivals are subject to additional registration fees not included in your ORCC membership.
  • Reduced rates for Canoe Kids and Regatta-Ready camps.  Note that campers must be ORCC members to qualify.
  • Bring a guest to ORCC Open House and Practices.  Potential new members are always welcome to try before you buy, by joining any of the listed practices.

 

How much does it cost to join?

ORCC membership fees have remained the same for the 3rd consecutive year, offering you and your family tremendous value with excellent facilities and equipment, and programs designed and managed by expert certified paddlers.  And, it’s a great way to spend the summer – on the water and in the boats!

 

Membership fees are due by May 1, 2007 or the first time you put a paddle in the water – whatever comes first!
