Registration 7:00 - 8 am
7:00 Registration / check-in table opens (At registration tent by portable in lower parking lot)
8am Registration / check-in table closes

Pre-Race briefing

8-8:15am Yoga warm-up in the field

8:15am Pre-race information for all participants 

Event start times

8:30- 100m knockout start

  • All small craft (all singles)

9:45 Course brief for the long course

10am- All small craft and women's OC6 in waves 

12:00 Mixed and Open OC6 + any women's small boats

2:30pm Awards



  • OC6 (limited entry)- 6 person outrigger
  • OC2 - double outrigger canoe open
  • OC1 - single outrigger canoe open

Stand up paddling

  • SUP  - male (max length 14')
  • SUP  - female (max length 14')
  • SUP  - youth (max length 12')

Surfski and Kayak

  • Surfski - max length 6.4 m
  • Kayak rec - male/female/adult/youth (shorter than 5 m)


  • Canoe rec - adult/youth (max length 16')

Boat rental and marketplace

  • Boat rental will be $50 per seat for non-members and $20 per seat for members (OC1 $50/20; OC2 $100/$40; OC6 $$300/$120)
  • if you want to rent a boat, please specify on the registration form
  • ORCC will have OC2s, OC6s, Surf Skis and SUPs for rent. Captains are required to pay the full rental fee and registration fee upfront.

What is the ORCC?

The Ottawa River Canoe Club is a not for profit organization with a mission of introducing and fostering recreational and competitive paddle sports and having fun doing so. We offer a variety of paddling programs including canoeing, kayaking and dragon boating for all age groups. Our programs are led by highly trained coaching staff. We have been in operation since 2002 serving West Ottawa and surrounding communities including Nepean, Kanata, and West Carleton.
