Who Can Join?
Whether your interest is in recreational paddling, water safety, flat-water racing, Masters program, adventure racing, dragon boating, the Ottawa River Canoe Club has a program that is right for you.

Our objective is to encourage and support participation in recreational and competitive paddling sports in a safe and fun environment.

How Do I Join?
Register on-line for a club membership or visit the Club during practice times. We will be more than happy to arrange a "test run" of our boats for you or your children before you join.
I want to make a change to what week my camper goes to camp, how can this be done?
If you would like to make a change to the week your child is registered in camp for, follow the steps below:
  1. Register them for the week you would like them to be registered under
  2. If you have already paid for the original registration, make sure to select "pay by e-transfer" when prompted so we can apply the original payment to the new registration.
  3. Email camps@orcc.ca and notify us of the switch you would like to make. If you can provide the original and new invoice/order number that would be greatly appreciated as it helps us find your registration.
How does the ORCC grow and succeed?
The Ottawa River Canoe Club is in its infancy and we are truly grateful to the City of Ottawa for their financial support for our "start up". We are also partnered with Kanata Nordic, the Y Camp, Fitness 4 Life, and the ongoing support of our coaches and Board of Directors.

Your membership fees, sponsorship, volunteer support and fund raising campaigns all contribute towards the success of our non-profit organization.

How Much Does It Cost?
Paddling is a high-calibre sport which you can access at a very affordable price. The individual membership cost is $250+HST per person while a family membership is available for $575+HST. Boats, paddles, and lifejackets are supplied (if you have your own please feel free to bring them). There is also a $6.00 annual insurance fee per person that will be added to a membership purchase.

Does the ORCC provide boat storage?
Members with a sprint boat can store their boat for an annual fee. Storage space is limited and the ORCC can only provide boat storage for sprint Olympic-style racing canoe and kayaks.
