Our Summer Day Camps are for kids up to age 14, but Petrie's Sprint program runs throughout the year and is for kids U12+. We are currently training athletes up to U18.

85% of Petrie Island is a nature reserve- we get to see super-cool animals up close every day. We often see beavers, Osprey, Blue Herons, all kinds of weird and wonderful waterfowl, turtles, and frogs, and our kids get a $5 reward if they catch a snake!

ALL of our coaches are French-English bilingual, and some coaches also know a third (or even fourth) language.

At the 2025 U14 Sprint Provincial Championships, Petrie won more medalsper kid than any other club in the province!

EVERY Friday, everyone at Petrie races the "Friathlon", our Friday-morning run-swim-paddle. Afterwards, we hold our legendary Brownie Awards, where coaches nominate their kids for being awesome, and we all eat brownies. In the afternoon, each group takes off on an excellent adventure with their coaches.

The Black Walnut Bakery is one of our paddlers' favourite adventure destinations, for obvious reasons - we paddle to Cumberland, park our boats on shore, and jog up the hill to buy treats before heading home.
