Regatta's are definetly a highlight of paddling over the summer...but they can be a source of confusion and anxiety for parents. See the posts below for a full run down of this year's regatta and the key details you need to know.

Regatta Info Sheets
June 14: Spring EOD Event - 200M & 2K
June 21 & 22: Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival
July 12: EOD U10 & U12 Regatta
Location: Gananoque (GCC)
Who races:
- Paddlers under the age of 12 as of Jan 1 of this year.
Time:
- 7:30 AM (est)
- 1 Hour before athletes first scheduled race
- Generally done around 4:00 PM
What to Bring:
- Athletes should have a full day of snacks and food
- ORCC racing singlet
- All equipment will be packed in the boat trailer on Friday
Parents Viewing Area:
- There is a park on the other side of the race course where parents can sit and watch their athletes race.
- Please do not stay in the athletes area for extended periods of time as it is busy.
July 13: EOD U14+ (High Performance)
Location: Rideau (RCC)
Who races:
- U16 High Performance athletes along with some U14 athletes based on speeds and boat types.
- Attendance is at the sole discretion of the Head Coach.
Time:
- 1 Hour before athletes first scheduled race
What to Bring:
- Athletes should have a full day of snacks and food
- ORCC racing singlet, sweater, and warm-up shirt
- All equipment will be packed in the boat trailer on Friday
Parents Viewing Area:
- There is a park on the other side of the race course where parents can sit and watch their athletes race.
- Please do not stay in the athletes area for extended periods of time as it is busy.
July 19: EOD Masters Regatta
July 20: EOD U12 & U14
Location: Carleton Place Canoe Club
Who races:
- All athletes U14 and below
Time:
- 1 Hour before athletes first scheduled race
What to Bring:
- Athletes should have a full day of snacks and food
- ORCC racing singlet
- All equipment will be packed in the boat trailer on Friday
Parents Viewing Area:
- The race course runs along a park. Parents are asked to stay away from the athletes zone which is towards the finish line and stay up river where other parent tents will be set up.
- Please do not stay in the athletes area for extended periods of time as it is busy.
July 26 & 27: EOD Qualifiers (U16) + U14 Crew Boats
Location: Rideau (RCC)
Who races:
- All Athletes U16 athletes and U14 crew boats qualifying for Ontario Championships
Time:
- 1 Hour before athletes first scheduled race
What to Bring:
- Athletes should have a full day of snacks and food
- ORCC racing singlet, sweater, and warm-up shirt
- All equipment will be packed in the boat trailer on Friday

Aug 9: EOD Championships
Location: Carleton Place Canoe Club
Who races:
- All athletes U14 and below
- U14 Crews will have had to qualify the weekend of July 26 & 27
Time:
- 1 Hour before athletes first scheduled race
What to Bring:
- Athletes should have a full day of snacks and food
- ORCC racing singlet
- All equipment will be packed in the boat trailer on Friday
Parents Viewing Area:

Aug 10: U10 Fun Regatta
Aug 15 & 16: Ontario Champs - U16
Aug 17: Ontario Champs - U12 & U14
